A company in Manama, Bahrain is hiring a Project Coordinator – Oil & Gas to support sales, engineering, project management, and logistics activities. The role is suited to a mid-to-senior level professional who can manage projects with minimal supervision and coordinate directly with clients, engineers, vendors, and logistics teams.

The role may also involve site visits to local industrial areas and oilfields.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, engineering teams, sales staff, and third-party vendors.
  • Manage daily project milestones and timelines.
  • Identify project risks early and take corrective action.
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings, progress meetings, and technical discussions.
  • Manage projects independently with limited management supervision.

Engineering & Technical Support

  • Coordinate between clients and engineers to clarify technical specifications, data sheets, and project changes.
  • Manage the review, approval, and distribution of engineering documents.
  • Coordinate blueprints and Material Test Reports (MTRs).
  • Support the preparation of technical tender documents, compliance statements, and estimation information.

Sales & Commercial Coordination

  • Support sales and business development teams.
  • Check that client Purchase Orders (POs) match the engineering scope and pricing.
  • Track project costs, variations, and milestones.
  • Support accurate and timely client invoicing.
  • Maintain records of customer communication, RFQs, and project changes.

Logistics & Supply Chain

  • Coordinate the complete logistics process for oilfield equipment and materials.
  • Make sure equipment clears Bahrain customs and reaches the required site.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs clearing agents, and warehouse teams.
  • Plan delivery routes and manage inventory schedules.
  • Check shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and commercial invoices.
  • Ensure shipping documentation follows Bahrain requirements and international customs and maritime rules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or a closely related STEM qualification.
  • A PMP or CAPM certification is highly advantageous.
  • At least 2 years of direct Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience within the GCC.
  • Bahrain Oil & Gas experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling engineering documents, sales/contracts, and industrial logistics.
  • Able to manage several project activities under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage, especially for dealing with local regulatory bodies.
