Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will handle daily purchasing and procurement activities and work with suppliers to ensure materials are available on time.
Main duties include:
- Find and compare suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and delivery
- Evaluate suppliers through meetings, visits, and quality checks
- Review purchase requests and confirm material specifications
- Negotiate prices, contracts, payment terms, and delivery terms
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs)
- Check quantities, prices, and delivery dates on purchase orders
- Follow up on incoming orders and deliveries
- Resolve supplier and shipment problems
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Coordinate with other departments for purchasing requirements
- Maintain records of purchases, costs, deliveries, and inventory
- Check market prices and supplier performance
- Keep procurement documents and records organized
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- At least 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Good knowledge of purchasing procedures
- Experience dealing with suppliers and vendors
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good understanding of supplier pricing and market trends
- Knowledge of purchasing or procurement software
- Good record-keeping and data management skills
- Ability to solve supplier and delivery issues
