A construction company in Bahrain is hiring an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor (MEP Supervisor) to manage MEP site work on villa and high-rise building projects. The role covers installation, testing, site coordination, subcontractor supervision, quality checks, and safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installation, testing, and commissioning
- Read and interpret MEP drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, shop drawings, and layouts
- Coordinate MEP services with structural and architectural works to avoid clashes and rework
- Supervise daily site activities and subcontractor teams
- Make sure work follows approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and engineering standards
- Conduct site inspections and identify snags, defects, and quality issues
- Monitor material usage, equipment, and daily manpower allocation
- Track MEP work progress and help meet project schedules
- Maintain daily activity logs, material records, workforce reports, and site progress records
- Report delays, technical problems, and site restrictions to the MEP Engineer
- Follow construction safety rules, permit-to-work procedures, risk controls, and PPE requirements
- Check dimensions, levels, service routes, and installation details against structural and architectural drawings
- Review basic 3D MEP models and clash-detection reports to identify routing conflicts
- Coordinate HVAC, piping, plumbing, and electrical service routes
- Work closely with MEP Engineers, Project Engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams
- Use MS Excel to track materials, equipment, manpower, and daily site progress
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor or MEP Supervisor
- Strong hands-on experience in villa and high-rise construction
- Good knowledge of MEP installation, testing, commissioning, and site coordination
- Good understanding of Bahrain construction regulations and safety requirements
- Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage subcontractors and site workers
- Immediate joiners are preferred
- Must currently be available in Bahrain
