Main Responsibilities
- Supervise daily MEP installation, testing, and commissioning work.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work with structural and architectural activities.
- Read and check MEP shop drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, coordination drawings, and layouts.
- Guide installation teams and subcontractors on site.
- Monitor manpower, daily work progress, and productivity.
- Make sure work follows approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and project schedules.
- Carry out regular site inspections and check installation quality.
- Record site snags and follow up until defects are corrected.
- Monitor materials, equipment, and workforce requirements.
- Prepare daily site reports, progress records, labor reports, and material and equipment logs.
- Report delays, technical problems, material shortages, and site issues to the MEP Engineer.
- Check MEP routes, dimensions, and levels against structural and architectural drawings.
- Review 3D coordination models and clash-detection reports when required.
- Make sure testing and commissioning work is completed as instructed.
- Follow construction safety rules, PPE requirements, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Coordinate with engineers, foremen, consultants, subcontractors, and other site teams.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Proven experience in villa and high-rise building construction.
- Able to read and understand MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Good understanding of MEP coordination with architectural and structural works.
- Experience with site inspections, quality checks, snagging, and defect correction.
- Able to manage subcontractors and multiple site activities.
- Basic knowledge of 3D models and clash detection.
- Good knowledge of construction safety, permit-to-work systems, and PPE.
- Familiarity with local construction requirements and engineering standards.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel for manpower, material, equipment, and daily progress records.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site supervision skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Candidates
Candidates who are already in Bahrain are preferred. Immediate joiners will have an advantage. Strong construction experience, especially on villa and high-rise projects, will be highly considered.
