Main Responsibilities
The Pest Control Technician will visit customer locations and handle pest inspection and treatment work.
Key duties include:
- Inspect homes, buildings, offices, and other properties for signs of pests
- Identify pest activity and possible sources of infestation
- Carry out suitable pest control treatments
- Treat common pests such as cockroaches, ants, flies, rodents, bed bugs, and termites
- Select and apply pest control products according to the treatment requirements
- Use chemicals, sprays, traps, and other pest control equipment correctly
- Follow safe handling procedures when using pest control chemicals
- Explain basic treatment information to customers when required
- Complete service reports after each treatment
- Record the work carried out at customer locations
- Follow company safety procedures and instructions
- Clean and maintain pest control equipment
- Check and maintain the service vehicle
- Report equipment, vehicle, or treatment-related issues to the supervisor
- Work with the team to complete scheduled pest control services
Pest Control Experience
Previous pest control experience is required.
Candidates should have practical knowledge of inspecting properties, identifying pest activity, selecting suitable treatments, and using pest control products safely.
Experience dealing with the following pests is particularly useful:
- Cockroaches
- Ants
- Flies
- Rodents
- Bed bugs
- Termites
Experience with both residential and commercial pest control services will be useful for this position.
