Commercial Diver Responsibilities
The selected diver will carry out underwater construction, inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation work.
Main duties include:
- Perform underwater inspection and maintenance
- Carry out underwater repair and installation work
- Perform underwater cutting, drilling, and cleaning
- Assist with underwater piping and mechanical work
- Support structural and civil works underwater
- Inspect underwater structures and identify damage or defects
- Operate diving equipment safely
- Follow approved method statements, risk assessments, and HSE procedures
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and site teams
- Maintain diving logs, inspection records, and daily reports
- Check and maintain diving equipment before and after work
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment problems, and incidents immediately
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- 3–5 years of commercial diving experience
- Valid and recognized commercial diving certification
- Experience in underwater construction, inspection, maintenance, or repair
- Good knowledge of diving safety procedures
- Experience using underwater tools and diving equipment
- Good physical fitness
- Valid medical certification for commercial diving
- Ability to work in difficult site and weather conditions
- Ability to work well with a team
- Valid or transferable Iqama is preferred
- Immediate availability is highly preferred
Preferred Experience

- Underwater piping
- Underwater mechanical work
