Job Responsibilities
- Operate SPMT (Self-Propelled Modular Transporter) for heavy and oversized loads
- Transport heavy equipment, structures and industrial components safely
- Carry out daily SPMT equipment inspections
- Report equipment defects or technical problems
- Follow approved transportation and lifting plans
- Follow site safety rules and traffic regulations
- Coordinate with the Transport Supervisor, Riggers, Signalmen and site team
- Safely operate hydraulic steering and remote-control systems
- Position SPMT correctly during loading and unloading
- Make sure loads are moved and positioned safely
- Prevent damage to the SPMT, cargo and other site equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an SPMT Operator
- Good knowledge of SPMT operation and heavy transport
- Experience operating Scheuerle, Goldhofer or similar SPMT systems is preferred
- Ability to follow transport plans and site safety procedures
- Good coordination with rigging and transport teams
- Able to work safely with heavy and oversized loads
