Job Responsibilities
The Roller Compactor Operator will operate a road roller / roller compactor for construction and road work.
Main duties may include:
- Operating the roller compactor safely.
- Compacting soil, sand, gravel, and asphalt.
- Preparing roads and construction surfaces.
- Checking the work area before operating the machine.
- Following site instructions and safety rules.
- Carrying out basic machine checks before work.
- Reporting machine problems to the supervisor.
- Maintaining proper compaction according to project requirements.
Required Experience
Experience operating a roller compactor, road roller, soil compactor, or asphalt roller is preferred.
The candidate should know how to operate heavy construction equipment safely and follow instructions on a road or construction site.
